My name is Rex, Chinese name Chang-Ti, Pong. I am currently a fourth year student at UTSC, majoring in International Studies. I was born in Taiwan, and decided to come to Canada alone 4 years ago. 

     The reason I was interested in this course was because I want to start my own business after graduate, and I think the materials I learn in this course will help me to achieve my goal in many ways. We need to do a group project in this course, this will help me to build many skills that would be very useful for my future career.

     English has always been my weakness since it wasn't my mother tongue, listening and reading skills are quite ok compare to my speaking skill. I have been working hard on my speaking skill. Sharing opinions with my classmates makes me very nervous. I know this course require lots of discussions and communications, it will certainly be quite hard for me, but also I'm looking forward to learn new stuffs and build up my skills in communicating with others. I'm a very easy going person, it would be great to make more friends in the class. Also this course has weekly activities, discussions and readings that will bring everyone closer and make sure everyone is on the same page comparing to most of the other courses. Because I was born in Taiwan, and as people may notice, Taiwan is quite a small country, we have to get connected with the rest of the world in most of the ways. International communications and topics like that interests me a lot, hope I can do well in this course.
